Chad Evans

Coach Chad Evans
Head Coach Men's Basketball

Coach Evans is entering his 13th year of teaching and coaching.  Last year he was the head boys basketball coach at Irving MacArthur High School and before that he spent 4 years as the head coach at Cedar Park Vista Ridge High School.  Early in his career he spent time as an assistant coach in Coppell, Frisco and The Colony High Schools. 
He will be teaching Health and PE this year at John Paul II.
Coach Evans is a graduate of Allen High School and received his bachelor’s degree from the University of North Texas.
In his free time Coach Evans enjoys spending time with his wife Tara a teacher at Lovejoy High School and his daughter Sara a first grader at Hart Elementary. 

Coach George Coelen
JV Coach

George Coelen brings more than thirty years of coaching experience to JPII. He has coached boys and girls at all levels, grades school, middle school, and high school.He has taken one boy’s team to the DPL championship and two of his girl teams have won DPL hampionships.

As the varsity coach at Jesuit College Prep for sixteen years, he won 270 games and five T.C.I.L. State championships. Nine of his former players returned to Jesuit to Coach and or teach. He started the Jesuit Ranger Basketball Camp in 1985, and he started one of the first winter basketball camps in the Dallas area in 1994.

One of the three counselors at JPII, he is responsible for all the freshmen, works with college placement for juniors and seniors, and is responsible the drug and alcohol education. He has been married to his wife Carol for thirty years, and they have one son, Nathan, who currently lives in New York.

Jacob Anderson

Freshman Coach

Jacob Anderson is entering his first year of coaching at John Paul II High School.  He is a graduate of Coppell High School where he played varsity basketball for two years.  After High School he played two years of basketball at South Plains Junior College and one year at John Brown University in Siloam Springs, Arkansas.  He is currently finishing his last semester of college at the University of North Texas in Denton, where he will receive his degree in History and be certified in Composite Social Studies.
